CopyJar

A clipboard with memory. CopyJar keeps what you copy (text, images, links, colors, files) and finds it when you need it again.

CopyJar masonry library of copied images, with a sidebar of types: text, links, images, code, colours and files.

What it is

Captures text, images, links, colors and files into a visual library, grouped by time, with pinned snippets on ⌘1-9.

Search covers the full text, the text inside screenshots (OCR), and the meaning: on-device AI summaries are stored and searchable.

A paste stack queues several items: ⌘V ⌘V ⌘V. Holding ⌘V cycles the history in place. Pasting never steals focus.

Password managers are always excluded. A five-minute pause with one click. Zero network by default; AI and OCR run on-device.

One purchase. No subscription, no accounts.

What it doesn't do

  • No iCloud sync, no iPhone or Windows app - one Mac, your data.
  • No web previews by default; media preview is an explicit opt-in.
  • Two copies within half a second can merge (macOS polls the clipboard).
  • ⌘V cycling and direct paste need the Accessibility permission, opt-in.
  • AI needs macOS 26 on Apple Silicon with Apple Intelligence enabled.
  • It is not a password manager, on purpose.
