MarkJar support
MarkJar is a native Markdown editor for macOS: each document is a plain .md file, opened in its own window. Support is hello@boredjar.com, in English or Spanish, answered within three working days.
Where are my documents stored?
Wherever you saved them - nowhere else. Each document is an ordinary .md file you can read, move, or delete with any other app. MarkJar has no database and no copies of your files.
How do I sync documents between Macs?
Keep them in a folder that already syncs - iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or similar. The service does the syncing; MarkJar just sees a local file. There is no MarkJar account and no MarkJar cloud.
Why does an image show a padlock?
macOS sandboxing: MarkJar can only read folders you have granted. Click the padlock, confirm the folder, and every image in it appears - in the document, in print, and in the exported PDF. After a reinstall macOS asks again; one click restores it.
Can I use it on an Intel Mac, or on iPhone?
No. MarkJar runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 15 or later. There is no iPhone or iPad app.
How do I export or print?
File → Print gives paper-ready typesetting - with the paper style you chose in Format → Paper Style - and a Save as PDF option. File → Export as HTML produces a single self-contained file with local images embedded, and Edit → Copy as Rich Text pastes with formatting into Mail, Word or Google Docs.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too: reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides refunds; we never see your payment details.
I found a bug.
Tell us: hello@boredjar.com. Say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead - a screenshot helps. Bugs get fixed; that is most of the job.
